About this course

You understand more Spanish than you can say. This is the course that closes the gap. You know the grammar. You have the vocabulary. You follow what people are saying. But when a real conversation starts, you're still building sentences in your head, simplifying what you meant, or staying quiet rather than getting it wrong. That's not a knowledge problem. It's a practice problem — and it's what this level is for. You'll widen your vocabulary and grammar, but the work is in what conversations actually demand: giving an opinion, telling a story, explaining what you mean, reacting on the spot, asking a follow-up, keeping it going when you don't know a word. Less translating. Less hesitating. Twice a week, ninety minutes, sixteen live sessions with Christian. The group is capped at ten, so you'll speak every class — which is the only thing that moves you from understanding to speaking. By the end, you'll hold a longer conversation, say what you actually mean rather than what you can manage, and stop rehearsing before you open your mouth. By the end of the course, students should be able to: • Talk about past experiences and tell stories with greater detail. • Describe events, situations, and experiences using different past tenses. • Talk about plans, predictions, and possibilities. • Express opinions and support them with reasons and examples. • Agree, disagree, clarify, and respond naturally in conversations. • Give advice, recommendations, and express wishes. • Talk about hypothetical situations and their consequences. • Discuss familiar social, cultural, professional, and everyday topics. • Understand the main ideas and relevant details of authentic conversations. • Describe and compare people, places, experiences, and situations in greater detail. • Explain problems and propose solutions. • Participate in discussions and simple debates. • Communicate in common professional situations. • Connect ideas using a wider range of discourse markers. • Maintain longer, more spontaneous conversations without relying on scripts.
